Sounds like "table"
Imagine a table.
Walk up to it + feel the grain. It is a beautiful table. Suddenly, it comes alive and starts to eat you with an open mouth and sharp teeth. There is a rancid smell coming from the table + the table is making nom, nom sounds.

Mnemonic-
Sounds like “owner”
Imagine you’re in a shop and ask to speak with the owner and a woman walks out, and you talk to her. Imagine this happens at every shop you visit. This is because this is a country where only women can own things.

Mnemonic -
Sounds like “ama”
Ama is a session, usually online where people answer questions people ask on a forum site. Imagine you have to do your own Ama and it has to b about things to do with your head (Atama).

Kokoro (Heart). (Refers to your heart in spirit not your physical heart e.g. they did well at that task they had heart).
Mnemonic -
Sounds like - Cocoa “koko”
Imagine someone opening up your chest and pouring in a concoction of cocoa and fish roe and watching as it powers your heart. (Your heart feels much better after this - more of a mental/spirit of heart not physical heart).

Imagine your are reading a book so you can hone your skills e.g. I read Japanese textbooks to hone my Japanese language skills.

Mnemonic -
Sounds like “Nick”
Imagine Nick from My Family. Imagine him with no skin. All you can see is Nick’s meat, and what delicious looking meat it is. Go over and ask Nick for some of their meat. They oblige and cut off a little Nick steak for you to try. “Nice to meat you” they say because they’re an idiot and they love puns.

Mnemonic - 
Sounds like "She knew"
Imagine someone saying she knew what you did last summer and threatening you by saying "It's time to die" because she knew what you did. Imagine the fear you would feel from this conversation.
"I thought I covered it up."
"I thought nobody saw us do it."
"Am I going to die?"

Kiku (To hear).
Mnemonic -
Sounds like “kick”
Imagine taking a strong kick to the head and gaining sharper hearing. You were deaf before and now you have clear hearing. The sharp kick moves things around in you brain to make you hear better. There is pain from the kick but the feeling of being able to hear perfectly is amazing.

Imagine a crow. You would see lots of black. That’s probably their most defining feature, how black they are.

Motsu (To hold).
Mnemonic -
Sounds like - “Moat.”
Imagine you have some moats in your hands, snaking round with drawbridges and maybe even one of two miniature crocodiles. They will be hard to hold because they are made of dug out dirt and water. You might keep trying to pick up more moats because you’re some kind of giant moat hoarder.
