what is Mitosis
Its a process by which one cell divides to form two cells that are identical to each other
Give a reason for the importance of Mitosis
Most plants and animals undergo sexual reproduction which helps with the growth of a zygote to an adult by making up millions of cells `

In prophase centrosomes form spindle fibers
Cytokinesis occurs by a constriction of cell membrane until two cells are formed

In prophase the cytoplasm forms the spindle fibers
cytokinesis occurs by laying down of a new cell wall in the equatorial region of the cell
The function of mitosis isssssss
Growth in size of an organism
Repair and replace worn out or damaged cells
How does cancer begin
A single cell can divide because of mitosis to create many cells ,But when a single cell starts to divide at an abnormal amount which can’t be stopped and may create swellings in various parts of the body which becomes tumours
What are the two general types of tumours that are formed
Benign
They stop growing and occur in one small groups without invading important parts of the body {Can be removed and are not cancerous}
Malignant tumours
They continue to grow and invade important parts of the body ,may break off and enter the blood or the lymphatic system {Are cancerous ☠}
What causes cancer [Carcinogens ]
The exact reason is unknown but this are a few reasons scientist think it might be
Radiation
Smoking
Hormonal imbalances
Certain processed food
