A
Division of somatic cells that results in growth One cell(parent cell) splits unit two identical daughter cells

An increase in the amount of living substance which causes an increase in size over time

When there is an increase in the number of cells because of cell division

A
To make more cells for the body to grow
It also happens whenever cells must be replaced because they are worn out or damaged
