Early in the Season. 8 - 16oz / 100 depending on pressure.
What life stages does Tetrasan cover?
Takes out eggs and nymphs but only sterilizes adult females. They can continue to feed for a few weeks but will not reproduce.
What is the recommended rate for Forbid?
1.4 - 4 oz / 100
1.4 - 2 oz usually works great.
What lief stages does Shuttle cover?
All life stages.
Is Shuttle translaminar?
No.
What is an alternative miticide besides Forbid, Tetrasan and Shuttle?
Abamectin (Avid) or Bifenthrin (Talstar).
What’s the downside of using Abamectin for mites?
It doesn’t control eggs so you have to tank mix an ovicide with it.
What is the downside of using Bifenthrin for mites?
Takes out all beneficial insects and doesn’t cover eggs. Will need to re-treat frequently.
When do warm season spider mites become active?
When conditions become hot and dry. No rainfall.
When does two-spotted spider mite become active?
It’s a warm season spider mite so when the conditions are hot and dry.
