  • Firstly, I would do my best to be successful in my training however, if failure did occur I believe there still a place within defence. I would look for another career within the RAN or RAAF.

  • As far as testing goes I was definitely challenged. The ATC test was particularly difficult. Overall, I was pretty happy how I went with ASP. I believe I prepared well overall.
  • I found the briefs very helpful and changed my preferences as I learned about more jobs.
  • Being around other candidates and current ADF members was further motivation and reassurance that this what I want to do as a career.

  • I care too much about what others think of me
  • When I was younger was one of the more skilled basketball players on my team. I didn’t want to be seen as “selfish” and a “ball hog”. That impacted my success on the court and that impacted my team achievement by being too unselfish.
  • to overcome this I had to understand the people who work the hardest have earned the right to have the ball in their hands and shoot the ball. I was able to carry this into next season and we were able to compete and beat division 1 teams.
