How do NSAID’s work?

A

NSAIDs act by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX) thereby blocking the production of prostaglandins resulting in an anti-inflammatory response. NSAIDs are classified by their selectivity of the COX isoenzymes.
