Any you say will be recorded and used as evidence in court
You have the right to speak with a lawyer without delay and in private before deciding whether to ask any questions
Police have a list of lawyers you make speak with for free

C1: fine only
C2: Prison not exceeding 2 years OR community and/or fine
C3: Prison 2+ years. Right to elect jury trial
C4: Prison 2+ years. Most serious must be seen by High Court ie murder

Define hearsay, opinion and propensity
Hearsay: oral or written statement of a person who is not present at court. Only admissible if person is unavailable OR would result in detail or extensive expense for investigation to obtain witness
Opinion: inference from observed facts. Only admissible if expect (skilled/studied) or non-expert (witness ID-ify)
Propensity: Shows a persons tendency to act a particular way
A persons prevent convictions cannot be used as evidence to prove dependent has been know to commit

Lower courts are bound by decisions made by higher courts but not by those of equal position

Crimes Act 1961: section 315 (2)(a) finds (2)(b) has reason to suspect
Summary Offences Act 1981: section 39 (1) has reason to suspect (2) within view
