They are business to business, business to consumer, and customer to customer.

Unusable software, software with hidden bugs, software with known/accepted problems, and zero-defect software (does bit exists).
Impact of software defects?
Life threatening, security risk, economic implications. Also, contracts include limited liability otherwise it would stifle innovations and software release.
