Metformin (Glucophage)
Take with food
Levothyroxine (Synthroid® /Eltroxin®)
- Take on an empty stomach before breakfast
- Do not take dairy products, antacids or iron preparations within 1 hour of this medication
Cholesterol Meds - Statins e.g., atorvastatin (Lipitor®) (Except rosuvastatin, pravastatin, and fluvastatin)
Do not take with grapefruit or grapefruit juice
Sexual dysfunction meds: Sildenafil (Viagra®), tadalafil (Cialis®), vardenafil (Levitra®)
Do not take with nitrates
Topical creams, ointments, gel - E.g., (Fucidin® cream or ointment)

If the eye product is in suspension form, add the aux. label:

For most eye products:
- Discard After 30 Days of Opening

- Keep Refrigerated Unopened Packs
- Discard Opened Packs after 4 weeks (N.B. Except Levemir®, Toujeo® and Tresiba®)
Insulin products –> Levemir® and Toujeo®

- Discard Opened Packs after 6 weeks (for Levemir®, Toujeo®)
- Discard Opened Packs after 8 weeks (for Tresiba®)
Non-Insulin Diabetes injections: Semaglutide (Ozempic®) and dulaglutide (Trulicity®)
- Keep Unopened Packs Refrigerated
- Discard opened packs after 8 weeks
Depo-Provera® Injection
- Keep Refrigerated
