Enclosed space drill

  • TBT, RA, PTW and Confined Space Entry Permit to be done and briefed.
  • Ventilation should be done at least 24 hrs in advance and also force-ventilation upon entry.
  • Stop ventilation at least an hour or 2 prior to entry to induct an atmospheric test. (Oxygen content within should be at least 20.9%)
  • Standby LSA equipment at tank entrance.
  • Cordon off the surrounding area with signs.
  • Record every item going in and out of the tank.
  • Lock out or tag out, lock the switch and the key is to be kept with the personnel entering the tank.
  • Rescue party to be at moment’s notice.
  • Clear communication to the Bridge and the standby personnel outside the tank.
