can be seen in Woody Allen’s film Midnight in Paris (2011), this film is set in the late 21st century and is a modern appropriation of a fairytale and an exploration of the journey of Gil, the protagonist. The film follows physical journeys throughout Paris, opening up the protagonist to new experiences while also exploring imaginative journeys that reflect Gil’s subconscious. Gil’s journeys through Paris ultimately lead to his self-realisation of the multiple conflicts in his life.
