Symbolises the hypocrisy of the Victorian society.
‘Kinsman’ presents as respectable and honourable and this is developed through his criticism of Hyde and his attempts to get Hyde to help the girl’s family. However, it is important to note that Enfield was also out at “about 3 o clock in the morning”, presumably up to no good. This also shows the theme of duality.
