Give an example on Metallic Minerals
Ferrous - (Has iron content) Iron Ore
Non Ferrous - Copper Ore, Bauxite
Give an example on Non-Metallic Minerals
Organic - Fossil Fuels (derived from buried plant/animal life)
Inorganic - Limestone, Graphite
What are the 3 varieties of Iron Ore
Haematite - (aka red ore)
Magnetite - Dark Brown or Blackish magnetic
Limonite - Yellowish or light brown
State some uses of Iron Ore
- Used in steel alloyed with other materials
- Iron Blue is used in paints
- Black Iron in Polishing compounds

- Odisha - haematite
