-for safety (in the case of refugees, e.g. during ww2, many Jews fled Nazi germany and settled in Britain and since then there have been refugees and asylum seekers from parts of Africa and Eastern Europe)

-economic development (Becuase the standard of living is higher in the uk)

-migration has led to Christianity seeing new influences and new denominations, as much as a significant increase in members of other faith traditions.
