Is used as a means of communication among military,naval and air personnel and between activities of the AFP
Military subject to letter
A military subject to letter follow a fundamental style, varying only in details. The letter should be phrased in a courteous way and the language should be refined without vulgarity.it is style in two(2) carbon copies or three(3) print outs using a 8×10 1/2 bond paper

This part consist of all the materials above the first line of the body
Heading
Military Letters is that placed between the heading and the close
Body
The body will be single spaced except when it is less that nine(9) line and no reply is anticipated
Spacing
When a letter consist of only one paragraph,the paragraph will not be numbered although it’s sub paragraphs,they will be numbered consecutively
Paragraphing
Authorized abbreviations may be used in the body of a military letters

To a publication Must be specific and will be fully identified
References
The first page is not numbered however,the succeeding page will be numbered

Military Letters consist of the command or authority line signature element and enclosure block

When a military letters is signed for a commander or head

This portion is typewritten five(5) lines below the command or authority
Signature Element
This space is found on the left side of the page and in the line with the typed signature of the signature
Enclosure block
It contains a listing of all enclosures which are supplementary documents that are sent with communication to provide additional information
Block
Is an informal communication use between staff agencies within a command headquarters
Disposition form
It is a staff paper used to secure the commanders approval of recommendation action.
