What is Milgrams study about?
The behavioural study of obedience
What did Milgram believe to happen for obedience?
‘obedience involved the abdication(giving up) of individual judgement in the face of some external social pressure’.
What does Milgram argue?
That when we obey we enter an agentic state.
What was Milgrams aim?
To see how far people would go in obeying an authority figure, even if the command went against their moral code.
