What was the procedure in Milgram?

A

-a fixed lottery showed which was the teacher and learner
-both were taken into another room where a 45v shock was given to the T
-the T then read out word pairs and L responded by pressing a button
-If the L got it wrong they were shocked
-the volts increase by 15v and would continue unless T needed a prod
-Study finished when teacher refused or when 450v was reached
-T was interviewed and debriefed at the end
