Describe general steps of normal gross motor development
Head to toe - head control –> arms to roll over –> waist to sit –> legs to stand then walk!
General steps of fine motor development
fine motor is essentially hand eye coordination. So start with fixing and following –> palmar grasp –> pincer grip –> more detailed drawing line, circle, square, then triangle
Avg fine motor, speech and social level seen at 6-8 weeks?
Fine motor: fixes and follows around midline
Speech and hearing: looks up to sound
Social: Smiles
Avg fine motor, speech and social level attained in a 1 year old child
Fine motor: pincer grip
Speech: using 1 word consistently
Social: playful - waves bye bye and plays peek a boo

Running
Going up and down stairs
