A

- Tax haven so attractive to foreign companies
- Singlish which is a varient of English allows easier assimilation

- Higher wages, better education and healthcare in urban areas led to the mass inward migration
- 400 million people migrated from rural areas to urban areas
- Hukou system reduces the mass movement of rural to urban migration by preventing people to leave the province they were born in

- Very strict migration policies as only 2% of population is foreign born
- However has led to a society in which for every 3 working people there are 2 retirees
- In the future Japan’s government will need to loosen immigration rules due to limited workforce

- 23 leading politicians had their overseas assets frozen
- Russias currency was devalued
- However Russia became less dependent on oil and gas exports and diversified its exports

- Invasion of Iraq due to possilbe ‘illegal weapons of mass destruction’
- Around 300,000 people died from the invasion of Iraq
- The UK and US were accused of invading Iraq for access of their oil, the UK has nearly secured half of Iraqs oil

- Produces 20% of Spain’s wealth, and would be the 34th largest economy if independent
- Catalonia already self-governs its education, healthcare and culture
