A

Muslim scholar and physician – wrote the Qanan – a multivolume medical book which described diseases, treatments, surgery, and medicines. This book was later translated into Latin and was used throughout Europe well into the 1600’s. Ibn Sina’s discoveries influenced the development of the modern medical field.
