Serial - a predictable and repeating order of practice of multiple task

Random practice - refers to a practice sequence in which a variety of tasks are ordered randomly across trials. Random practice has been shown to have superior long term retention effects.
Performance of the motor task is imagined or visualized without overt physical practice.
