NO PERSON MAY OPERATE AN AIRCRAFT UNLESS IT IS EQUIPPED WITH ____ _________ REQUIRED FOR THE KIND OF OPERATION BEING CONDUCTED AND CAPABLE OF RECEIVING METEOROLOGICAL INFORMATION AT ANY TIME DURING FLIGHT.
Radio Equipment
NO AOC HOLDER MAY OPERATE AN AIRCRAFT
ON WHICH A FLIGHT CREW OF MORE THAN ONE IS REQUIRED UNLESS IT IS EQUIPPED WITH A
FLIGHT CREW INTERPHONE SYSTEM
NO PERSON MAY OPERATE AN AIRCRAFT IN
AIRSPACE THAT REQUIRES A ________ _________ ___________ UNLESS THAT EQUIPMENT IS OPERATIVE AND OPERATES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ICAO ANNEX 10
Pressure Reporting Transponder
THE AIRCRAFT WILL BE ASSIGNED A DISTINCT SERIALIZED __-___ _______ ________ SUPPLIED BY THE AUTHORITY FOR THE TRANSPONDER
A Distinct Serialized 24-Bit Address Identity Code
also called a laryngophone, is a
type of contact microphone that absorbs vibrations
Throat Microphone
used by members of the flight crew to
communicate between each other in the cockpit and is controlled by the three ACPs
CREW INTERPHONE
SYSTEM
Such as the Mode C equipment enables the ATCO to see the aircraft altitude or flight level automatically
ALTITUDE REPORTING
TRANSPONDER
ALL AIRCRAFT OPERATED AT NIGHT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH:
A landing light
An anti-collision light system
Navigation/position lights
Illumination for all flight instruments and equipment
Lights in all passenger compartments;
ALL AIRCRAFT OPERATED AT NIGHT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH:
Two landing lights or a single light having two separately energized filaments.
NO PERSON MAY OPERATE ANY POWERED AIRCRAFT WITHOUT
THE FOLLOWING ENGINE INSTRUMENTS:
(1) A means for indicating fuel quantity in each fuel tank to be used;
(2) An oil pressure indicator for each engine;
(3) An oil temperature indicator for each engine;
(4) A manifold pressure indicator for each engine with controllable pitch propellers; and
(5) A tachometer for each engine.
WARNING INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS: an instrument which provides an indication of
the Mach Number, (M), which is the ratio between the aircraft true air speed (TAS) and the local speed of sound (LSS).
MACH NUMBER INDICATOR
WARNING INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS: an aircraft with retractable landing gear uses an aural warning system to alert the crew to an unsafe condition. A bell sounds if the throttle is retarded and the landing gear is not in a down and locked condition.
Aural Warning Device
WARNING INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS: a device which warns the pilot when he/she is approaching a pre-set altitude or deviating from that altitude.
ALTITUDE ALERTING SYSTEM
WARNING INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS: a system designed to alert pilots if their aircraft is in immediate danger of flying into the ground
GROUND PROXIMITY WARNING SYSTEM
WARNING INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS: a type of radar used to provide an indication to pilots of the intensity of convective weather
WEATHER RADAR
WARNING INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS: an aircraft system based on Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) transponder signals.
AIRBORNE COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM II (ACAS II)
responsible for recording various flight
parameters and aircraft performance data during a flight
FLIGHT DATA RECORDER (FDR)
NON-DEPLOYABLE FLIGHT RECORDER CONTAINERS: Distinctive color
The containers for non-deployable flight recorders should be painted in a distinctive orange or yellow color.
NON-DEPLOYABLE FLIGHT RECORDER CONTAINERS: Reflective material
The containers should also carry reflective material to enhance their visibility.
Flight recorder systems should not be ________ ___ during flight time. To ensure that crucial flight data and cockpit voice recordings are continuously captured and preserve
switched off
Flight data recorder media not acceptable for use in aircraft registered in the Philippines, or operated in commercial air transport operations in the Philippines, are–
engraving metal foil
Photographic film
Analogue data using frequency modulation (FM);
Magnetic tape.
EMERGENCY, RESCUE AND SURVIVAL EQUIPMENT: Each item of emergency and flotation equipment shall be—
- Readily accessible to the crew
- Clearly identified and clearly marked to indicate its method of operation
- Marked as to date of last inspection
- Marked as to contents when carried in a compartment or container.
installed at all aircraft exits as dual-lane or single-lane escape slide
Emergency Exit Equipment
any means of communication that require sight and can be used to transmit prearranged messages rapidly over short distances
VISUAL SIGNALING DEVICES
a package of basic tools and supplies prepared as an aid to survival in an emergency
SURVIVAL EQUIPMENTS
equipment which broadcasts distinctive signals on designated frequencies
EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER
function by releasing an extinguishing agent
intended to cool the fuel
PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Lavatory Smoke Detectors
provides a warning light on the flight deck, or provides a warning light or audible warning in the passenger cabin that would be readily detected by a flight attendant.
if an aircraft has areas where rescuers can break in during an emergency, those areas should be marked with red or yellow color and outlined in white if needed for better visibility.
MARKINGS OF BREAK-POINTS
a portable, self-contained, personal smoke hood designed to safeguard flight attendants and cabin crewmembers from the effects of smoke
PROTECTIVE BREATHING EQUIPMENT
a portable, self-contained, personal smoke hood designed to safeguard flight attendants and cabin crewmembers from the effects of smoke
PROTECTIVE BREATHING EQUIPMENT
EACH AIRCRAFT MUST HAVE _____, _____ _____, AND ________ _________ THAT MEET THE AIRWORTHINESS REQUIREMENTS.
