  • Martin Harris’s wife was pressuring him into giving up the translation because she didn’t believe.
  • Martin, stressed, wanted to prove to his wife that what he was doing was true by showing her the plates.
  • Martin had the Joseph ask the Lord 3 times for permission
  • On the 3rd try, the Lord gave special conditions for Martin to be able to take the pages.
  • Martin disobeyed the conditions, and the pages were lost
