1 - grave (very slow and serious…like a funeral)
2 - largo (extremely broad and slow…like a fat man)
3 - larghetto (not as slow as largo…like the fat white man running through the ghetto)
4 - lento (quite slow…like cooking lentils)
5 - adagio (slow…literally “at ease”)
6 - andante (girl’s name…they take it slow but not “at ease”)
7 - andantino (faster than Dante…)
8 - moderato (moderate tempo)
9 - allegretto (light and fast)
10 - allegro (faster still and more vigorous)
11 - presto (very fast…like magic)
12 - prestissimo (extremely fast)
