What is waste?
Any liquid or solid or combination of them that is intended to be treated or disposed, but does not include recycle.
What is dangerous good?
It’s a substance, product or biological hazard that by its nature or by the TDGR included any of the classes listed in the schedule to that act.
What’s hazardous waste?
Waste that has one or more properties listed in schedule #1but does not include those waste in schedule #2.
Whats hazardous recycle?
A recycle( it is waste but not disposal) has one or more properties listed in schedule #1
What’s inert waste?
It’s not going to become hazard, solid waste that when disposed or re used is not reasonable.
Whats oilfield waste?
An unwanted substance or mixture that results from the construction, operation or reclamation of the facility. Oil and gas conservation Act. Pursuant to the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act.
Which ways does the waste stream has?
- Broadly by generator( individual:pulp paper-mining-textil, commercial: dry cleaners-auto shops , municipals: house hold waste, institutional: hospital- educational)
- by the type of waste( agricultural, bio solids,biomedical, construction, radio actions, oilfield, house hold waste and electronics
What are the waste classifications in Alberta?
- oilfield waste ( regulated by the EUR)
- non oilfield waste( regulated by the NRC)

- non hazardous waste(part I
- hazardous waste
- hazardous recyclable
Which waste stream are not considered hazardous waste based on the AEPEA and WRC?

What is the TDG type P waste?
It’s prohibited
Extremely dangerous waste, can not be transported
