is gender equality made manifest through language.

is attained when women and men – and those who do not conform to the binary gender system – are addressed through language as persons of equal value, dignity, integrity and respect.

is the opposite of gender-sensitive language. It includes words, phrases and/or other linguistic features that foster stereotypes, or demean or ignore women or men.
Gender-discriminatory Language
often reinforces stereotypes, excludes certain genders, or implies a hierarchy based on gender.
Gender-discriminatory language
inherently discriminatory language, either written or spoken, that implies an unjustified sexual bias against a group or an individual, usually women, but sometimes men.
Sexist Language
prejudice, stereotyping/ discrimination based on sex.
