A battle between Germans and Roman legions near the roman border. This battle is when the Germans slaughtered Varus and the three legions. During reign of Tiberius

Prefect of Praetorian Guard. Tiberius’s friend who betrayed him and killed off his family. Got most of the senate and Roman people to go to him before Tiberius and had great power.
Ariovistus
was a leader of the Suebi germanic tribe and fought against Julius Caesar and his Legions during the Gaelic Wars.
Brutus
Julius Caesar’s cousin, only member of the senate that Caesar could trust, one of the members to assassinate him
Battle of Actium
Mark Antony and Augustus naval battle. Augustus won and Marc Anotony lost and killed himself
Auctoritas and Potestas
Auctoritas a latin word for authority and potestas a latin word for power. You can have potestas and oftentimes lack Auctoritas. This is significant because Auctoritas and potestas were prevalent in Roman society.
