Physical tolerance- Physically able to function on substance
Behavioral tolerance- user learns to act normal well on substance
Cross tolerance- how a substance affects another
What are 2 types of dependence
physical dependence- your body needs the substance to function, without it, you will have physical withdrawal symptoms
psycholgical dependence- user depends on the substance to help cope with situations
How do dependence, tolerance, and withdrawal relate?
The more dependence the higher your tolerance, the faster the body will experience withdrawal

Rationalizing- No problem, odds are in favor, the problem is someone else
Resigned -person feels they cant change (so they don’t)
