What does physical activity mean?
Any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles resulting in energy usage
What is leisure time physical activity?
Activity after all other normal tasks are completed
What is exercise?
Physical activity that is planned and structured, usually repetitive, in order to improve physical components of fitness
What is the definition of sport?
A form of physical activity that involves competition
What is health related physical fitness?
Ability to preform daily tasks, and traits associated with low risk of disease

How is the cardiorespiratory system related to physical fitness?
Optimal function and structure, as well as ability to deliver oxygen during usual and unusual activities
What is muscular strength defined as?
Ability to develop muscle and to carry a heavy load
What is the definition of muscular endurance?
Ability for a muscle group to contract multiple times in a row or for periods of time
What is flexibility?
Range of motion around a certain joint
What is body mass defined as?
Fat mass vs lean body mass
What is the five components of neuromotor fitness/neuromuscular fitness?
- balance

What is a type of neuromotor training?
Stretching, yoga, and tai chi
What is performance related physical fitness?
It is the ability to preform muscular work satisfactorily; specific to a goal
What are the three skill related components of physical fitness?
Power, reaction time, and speed

It lowers your risk of disease, heart attacks, easier everyday tasks, and higher quality of life

How would you evaluate improved health related to muscular fitness?
You could evaluate by improved ability to do everyday tasks, or other more specific testing
What is physical inactivity?
It’s the absence of physical activity
What is the colonial definition of health?
Overall condition of body and mind, and absence of disease and illness

Complete state of mental, social, and physical well-being
What is wellness?
Viewed as optimal health, being more holistic, and varies across many dimensions

What is morbidity?
Condition of being diseased or the departure from a state of wellness
