The Qur’an is their religious book of thought. It was written in Arabic.

The five pillars of islam are tasks to complete in one’s lifetime.

The golden age was a time of prosperity that lasted 500 years. It lasted from the 8th to the 13th centuries.

A site of encounter is a place where people of different backgrounds can come together and trade.
Why is Baghdad a sight of encounter? Where is Baghdad located?
Baghdad is a site of encounter because it is located along the silk road, and has easy access to waterways. Many people could come and discuss religions, and trade goods.
What are some innovations that came from Baghdad?
Some innovations from Baghdad included excelling at geometry and math, literature, philosophy, medicine, and ceramics.
What caused Baghdad to decline during the Middle Ages?
Baghdad declined because of natural causes(fires, droughts, floods, ect…), and mongol raids and invasions.
