middle class Gave security in exchange for food and shelter (better quality than what the peasants got)

It made printing things easier and books more accessible to everyone, in Jewish life it made sidurim more accessible

What were the chararcteristicsof the time period known as the Middle ages?
They were very focused on religion.
Why was the Middle Ages called the Middle Ages?
Because it was in the middle of the Fall of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance.
What was the influence of the Catholic church?
They didn’t have to pay taxes to the king, and therefore were super rich, and had power
What are some influential inventions of the middle ages?
glasses, buttons, gun powder, and paper money
What was the intent of the crusades? were they successful?
The stated goal to achieve safety for Christians in the middle east, and regain the holy land. This goal was achieved, and used as an excuse to commit violent acts against Jews and Muslims alike
