What is the Magna Carta?
It’s a basic document that states liberties guaranteed to the English people, proclaiming rights that became the English law and now are the foundation of the constitution, stating that monarchs were not above laws.
What’s a guild?
A group focused on a specific trade of skill.
Whats an apprentice?
Unpaid worker being trained in a craft or trade
What is a Journeyman?
Someone who has completed their Apprenticeship.
What is a Master?
The highest position, who train here own apprentices.
What is a lord?
A lord is a landowner and a member of the nobility which ranked just below that of royalty.
What is feudalism?
A new form of government constructed like a pyramid with the most powerful people at the top.
What is a peasant?
A peasant is a pre-industrial agricultural labourer with limited land ownership under feudalism and paying rent tax fees or services to the landlord.
What is Joan of Arc?
She was a young girl who took leadership of the French army and led them to victory.
What’s a serf?
A surf is an agricultural liberal bound under the feudal system to work on the Lords estate, who retrieved as part of the land, and went with the Lord if the land was sold.
What’s a clergy?
People who performed the services of the church.
What is the holy land?
The holy land is Jerusalem, which was for the Jewish, Islams, and Christians.
What is the plague.
A plague is an infectious disease cause of bacteria, also known as the black death or the bubonic plague.
What was the crusades.
The mediaeval holy war sanctioned by the pope and conducted against groups seen as enemies, which was a series of wars between Christians and Muslims.
What is medieval?
The middle ages.
What’s a vassal?
Someone under the protection of a feudal Lord, to whom he has vowed homage and fealty. (Respect and loyalty)
What does excommunicate mean?
Prevent them from taking part in church life.
What is a caliph?
A spiritual leader of Islam.
