- can be argued it is also a state of mind.

A
- those aged 16-70 who have a dependent child in their home and also provide regular service to a relative, who is “sick”, disabled or elderly whom they look after and give special help to.

- more likely to suffer from ill health: more than one in 4 report symptoms of mental ill health.
- they reportedly feel less satisfied with their life
- tend to struggle more financially than the general population

- yes and no
- doesn’t apply to ALL middle-aged people.
- these issues don’t always go hand in hand with aging
- for many middle-aged people there can be positives as well.
