Point of view
– Narrator= character who retells the event of a story
– First person= often the narrator’s perspective “I”, “ Me”, “ My”
– Second Person Point of View: second person perspective means addressing the reader directly. These following will be used “you”, “ your”, and “yours.”
–Third Person limited: third person limited point of view is a third-person literary perspective that offers limited insight into one or more characters’minds.
–Third Person omniscient : third person omniscient perspective is often compared to a god’s-eye view because the narrative voice is able to show anything it wants.

Atmosphere; based on writers details and descriptions

Internal conflict: Within the characters
External conflict: characters fight with others or elements
Summarize
When we, as the reader take a large text and put in our own words and make it shorter is a summary
Characterization
When we use the writers description to find out information about the Character.
–Direct Characterization: Direct characterization refers to the way a writer explicitly describes a character’s traits in the narration of a novel or story, e.g.
–Indirect Characterization: Indirect characterization is when an author reveals a character’s traits through actions, thoughts, speech, etc., instead of saying it outright
–Static Character: a type of character who remains largely the same throughout the course of the story line.
–Dynamic Character: Someone who undergoes a great, overarching transformation between the beginning and end of the story.
