Diopter Adjustment
Connects the eyepiece to the objective lenses
Body tube/ head
Connects the body tube to the base of the microscope
Arm
Bring the specimen into general focus
Course Adjustment
Fine-tunes the focus and increases the details of the specimen
Fine Adjustment
Contains 3 to 5 objectives ranging in power from 4x to 100 x
Objective lenses
Flat platform in which the specimen is placed
Stage
Clip that hold the slide in place
Stage clip
These knobs move the stage either left or right or forward or backward
Stage control
The hole in the middle of the stage. It allows the light from the illuminator to reach the slide
Aperture
Turns the illumination on or off
On/off switch
Source of light of the microscope
Illuminator
Found on the conderser. Can adjust the amount of light coming through the condenser
Iris diaphragm
