How to use a microscope

A
  1. Move stage to its lowest position.
  2. Place the object you want to observe on the stage. The object should be on a glass slide.
  3. Select the objective lens with the lowest magnification.
  4. Look through the eyepiece and start turning the coarse-focus knob slowly until you see your object.
  5. MAKE SURE YOU TURN THE FOCUS KNOBS SLOWLY TO AVOID BREAKING THE SPECIMEN SLIDE.
  6. Turn the fine-focus knob to bring your object into more focus.
