He is suggested 14 principles of management:-
- Division of work
- authority and responsibility
- discipline
- unity of command
- unity of direction
- General interest over personal interest.
- remuneration
- centralisation
- Scalar Chain means superior subordinate relationships throughout the organisation.
- Order
- equity - equity is the combination of kindliness and justice in a manager.
- stability of tenure of personnel
- Initiative
- Espirit de Corps - emphasizes the need for teamwork and the importance of effective communication in obtaining it.
Frederick Taylor
Known as the father of scientific management.
to find the “one best way “ of doing each task.
Five principles on theory of scientific management:-
- Science (not rule of thumb),
- harmony ( not discord)
- mental revolution ,
- cooperation ( not individualism)
- development of every person to be it’s greatest efficiency.

Elton Mayo (1880-1949)
Founder of human Resource management and for his research Hawthorne studies.
The Hawthorne effect refers to improvement in worker productivity or quality bcoz workers are being studied or observed.
His book - the human problems of an industrialized Civilization 1933.
