Central - lots of fertile farmland
Southern - southern Mexico is vital to the country’s economy. Sugarcane and coffee, two major export crops, grow well in the region’s warm, humid climate. Also, oil production along the Gulf coast has increased in recent years. The oil business has brought more industry and population growth to this coastal area of southern Mexico.
