What is one of the most common dopamine antagonist?

Metoclopramide
- increases lower esophageal sphincter tone
- decreases pyloric sphincter tone
- increases gastric contraction
- good at controlling vomiting
- pro kinetic activity linked only to the liquid phase and not solid phase of gastric emptying
- can be given up to 3X a day injection or as a CRI
- atropine and opioids may negate action
- avoid in animals with GI FB
- sometimes mentation, behavior (excitement and disorientation)and constipation
