What are metals
Elements that conduct heat or electricity. They can be made into wire or shaped. It can be shined. Murcuary is the only metal that is a liquid.
Metaloides
Element that have the appearance of a metal but not all the other properties. Silicone is a metloide and it is a poor electrical charger.
Non metals
Elements that do not conduct heat or electricity. They can be turned into gasses really easily and are often brittle and coloured.
What does the chemical formula tell us
The amount of atoms of each elements is in a compound.
Example= CH4 = 1 carbon and 4 hydrogen
Who are compounds different to mixtures.
A mixture is made up of two or more SUBSTANCES that are chemically DIFFERENT they are not chemically joined. A compound is a substance formed when two or more elements CHEMICALLY REACT
Who can you seperate an element from its compound
TO seperate a element from its compound a chemical reaction is required.
Example = like if you put magnesium with hydro logic acid. It retracts Corbin dioxide.

A mixture is
Mixtures she made up of two or more elements or two or more compounds. Or a combination of elements or compounds.
