High boiling and melting point,hard,brittle,tough,conducts heat and electricity,dense,malleable
What does ferrous mean
Contains iron
What does alloys mean
2 or more metals joined together to make it stronger eg:brass
What does casting mean
When Liquid Metal is poured into a mould to solidify into that shape
What does high boiling and melting point mean
Has to be heated to a high temperature to melt or boil it
What does hard mean
Need a large force to change its shape
What does brittle mean
Fractures when under pressure
What does tough mean
How well it resists fracturing
What does conduct heat and electricity mean
Electricity or heat can pass through it easily
What does malleable mean
Can be bent without breaking
What does dense mean
Heavy for their size
