Q

Necessary Elements for Successful Creation and Evolution of Metadata Registry

A

1) Initial creation of metadata schemata
- -Very important this is done well
- -Software will be developed to access the registry
- -Don’t want the software to be rewritten as the registry evolves
2) Subsequent creation of new metadata must be a controlled process
- -Do not get too radical of changes
3) Process must be developed for the Long Term controlled evolution, maintenance, and use of metadata schemata
4) Tools must be in place to support the development and evolution of and control of the metadata registry.
