What is cognitive ve non cognitive
Good and bad are separate to us
And uses phrases such as ‘murder is wrong’ as it is objectively true or false (Cognitivly)
Expressing your feeling in a statement it’s subjective (Non cognitive)
What is perscriptivism
Morality tells us how we ought to behave
When we use moral language it is usually giving a command
Eg ‘charity is good’ is ‘you should give to charity’

The Boo-hurrah theory
Ethical statements are expressions of emotion approval/disapproval
Describe intuitionism

Goodness can’t be defined you cannot define it without it being personal
We use intuition when making moral decisions
Wear are prima face duties

Accepts Moores idea of not defining goodness
We have these prima face duties caused by intuition such as keeping promises you have a moral obligation within yourself to obide by them
What’s the euthypro dilemma
Is something morally right just because god demands it or does god command it because it is morally right (DCT WEAKNESS)
