During this stage, clients are allowed to sit for short periods of time, self feed, and practice bed mobility
Stage 1: Met 1-1.4
During this stage clients are allowed to sit up (as tolerated). While sitting they may perform self bathing, shaving, dressing/grooming
Stage 2- MET 1.4-2
During this stage the client is still sitting, but able to shower in warm water. They may also begin to perform IADLs sitting, with brief standing periods
Stage 3- MET 2-3
During this stage patients can stand to shower, dress, and groom. They may also perform more IADLs while standing
Stage 4- MET 3-3.5
During this stage clients are performing all IADLS standing
Stage 5 MET 3.5-4
During this stage clients can do all ADL/IADLs and participate in community activities including swimming/volleyball/tennis
