Above 13000’ or between 10 and 13000 AMSL for more than 30 mins.
VFR Minimum Heights
1000’ above surface within 600m of built up area or open air assembly of people
500’ above surface or obstacle within 150m
Met minima in C, D, E airspace

8km above 10,000
5km below 10,000 (AMSL)
Met Minima Class F/G
Above 3000 - 2km/1000’/8km
Below 3000 AMSL/1000 AGL (Whichever is higher) - Clear of cloud in sight of surface (5km)
VFR Minima at controlled aerodrome
Day and night - 1500’/5km
SVFR - 600’/1500m (Day/Clear of cloud)
VFR Met minima uncontrolled aerodrome
Day - 600’/1500m
Night - 1500’/8km
Fuel reserve law
Fuel to fly to point of landing plus 30 mins (day) or 45 mins (night). (CTC ops = 45 mins)
Must file flight plan if
More than 50nm from shore
