Very hot, Dry and hard ground. (Sun baked) Harsh flooding in flood season.
What are the problems the Mesopotamians faced in order? What were the solutions?
- Low food supplies on the mountain. 1.5. They moved people to the plains. 2. The river was flooding uncontrollably. 2.5. They build canals and levees. 3. Silt was stuck in the canals. 3.5. They worked together to maintain the river. 4. They fought over water control. 4.5. They built walls and became city states.

Fine particles of rock.

Between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers in the Fertile Crescent.

Sumer is an area in southern Mesopotamia, where cities-states first appeared.
