Man at the Crossroads, painted by muralist Diego Rivera (married to Frida Kahlo) in 1933. The painting was commissioned and originally installed in the RCA building of Rockefeller Center. That same year, it was plastered over before it was finished, because it was too pro-communist and anti-capitalist, according to the Rockefellers. Rivera repainted a smaller version in Mexico a year later.
