The process in which blood and other tissues are sched from the uterus and leave the body through the vagina
Menstruation
Onset of menstruation, normally occurs between ages 11-15
Menarche
Can no longer produce egg cells. It normally occurs between the age of 45-55
Menopause
•This is the period when the endometrium or lining of the uterus sheds over 3-7 days if there is no pregnancy
•follicle growth in ovary & estrogen and progesterone is low
Menstruation phase
•This is when several eggs mature inside small cysts or follicle
•follicle grow&mature
Secrete estrogen (endometrium thicken & stimulate LH)
Follicular phase
This is when an egg is released from the biggest follicle and travels through the fallopian tube. Where it can be fertilized. If it is not fertilized, it dissolves in about 24-48 hrs
Ovulation
This is when the endometrium(lining of the uterus) is thick and prepared to support a pregnancy or to be released in period
Luteal phase
