  • labyrinthitis, BPPV,meniere, vestibular neuritis
  • sudden
  • horizontal nystagmus
  • hearing loss and tinnitus

Central
-stroke,migraine,MS,acoustic neuroma,vertebra basilar

Management of meniere

A

Acute - prochloperazine if vomiting

Severe- beta histidine and fluids

Conservative-

  • diet changes( low caffeine,alcohol, salt diet)
  • tinnitus- sound therapy,avoid silent
  • encourage to move after attack for central compensation

Prevention- beta histidine/ chlortalidone
