Q

For medals first expire ends what did he do

A

Took plants pure bred for a trait (ex: tall whose offspring were tall) took two of the true breeding plants (on tall one dwarf) and crossed them
Mono hybrid plants are only different for only one trait (tall v.s dwarf)
Offspring were all tall in other words tall was dominant and dwarf was recessive

Q

What did we learn from Mendel’s experiments?

A

1-genes are passed from parents to offspring
2-each gene has 2 alleles
3-two different gametes can be produced (each with one of the alleles)
4-alleles randomly are placed into gametes during meiosis(law of segregation)
5-alleles are inherited independent from other alleles law of independent assortment
